Further to an extraordinary meeting of the board of directors convened yesterday evening following the latest announcement by the Prime Minister advising on the current government COVID-19 policy, and having discussed the information provided and the clear intent of the announcement, we consider it is inevitable that we will have to cease construction operations in the very near future.

COVID-19 Jenner Group Policy – Stakeholder Communication No.3

Date: March 2020

However, following the subsequent guidance issued by Robert Jenrick, Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Governments, who advised yesterday evening that “if you are working on site you can continue to do so. But follow Public Health England guidance on social distancing” He adds “Outside of work, remember to stay home and save lives” This has been further corroborated by Michael Gove this morning, who has confirmed that construction operations may continue as long as social distancing is strictly observed.

Accordingly, our sites will remain open until further information and absolute clarity can be sought. This is of course subject to our supply chain partners and suppliers continuing to operate also, and the paramount need to ensure the safety of all those who work on our sites.

The office will also remain open today to allow staff access to collect any files, laptops and the like to facilitate working from home over the forthcoming weeks. However, it is intended the office will close this afternoon, and all office staff will work from home but remain accessible. It is intended that all design development on emerging schemes will continue to progress with momentum. Directors will also be available throughout should anyone wish to discuss any aspect of our business operations during this time.

We would also respectfully request that contractual payment terms are strictly adhered to, as we in turn are committed to supporting our supply chain throughout this period of uncertainty.

Thank you for your understanding and support during this time, and we will endeavour to continue to communicate with you as and when circumstances change.

On behalf of the Directors and Team at Jenner, stay safe and well, and we look forward to progressing with our exciting live and emerging
projects for as long as we are practicably able to.

Kind regards

Martin Sandall
