A secure dementia care area to the rear of the building incorporates a careful colour coding systems helps residents to recognise their own home and memory boxes and bespoke items to alleviate the symptoms of the debilitating disease.
The acquisition of the site and subsequent planning approval to build was secured by Leath Park Developments. Delivery of the care home required demolition of an existing residential property situated on the site. The demolished house was previously known as ‘Ivydene’ and to recognise the heritage of the site the communal café area has been named after the former family home.
“Leath Park found the opportunity and we worked together to achieve a swift planning consent. The purchase of the site was painless and with the build contract going to Jenner, the whole process has been positive and professionally managed”. Richard Pearman - Property Director Care UK
Completed in December 2018 the successful delivery of this project has secured two further schemes for Jenner to build in Ashford (Kent) next to the William Harvey Hospital and in Haywards Heath.
