Regenerating a redundant derelict building on the Beaver Road in Ashford, our General Works team were contracted by Ashford Borough Council to convert the former run-down property into eight new homes, capable of accommodating up to twenty five people.

Christchurch Lodge, Ashford

Location: Beaver Road, Ashford

Client: Ashford Borough Council

Value: £500k

Christchurch House, a rundown property bought at auction in 2013. It was transformed into good quality short-stay accommodation and was so successful that the money saved on placing homeless people in costly B&B’s meant that Christchurch House paid for itself within four years.

The project has utilised high-quality products and materials to ensure maximum build quality, environmental sustainability and energy efficiency.

The works completed in August 2020 with high praise received from our longstanding client Ashford Borough Council in ‘exceeding their expectations’ throughout the project:

“From the regular visits undertaken by our officers, we have noted the hard work and effort that has been put in to deliver a successful project. We were particularly impressed by the dedication and commitment to the project by your site manager Jamie Bevan who was always open to discussing ideas and offering up practical suggestions to overcome the day-to-day issues and unpredictable “unknowns” that inevitably arise with refurbishment projects. Our officers have commented that they would be delighted to work with this team again on future projects”
