Jenner appoints Finance Director to the Board of Directors

This exciting news further represents an unrelenting determination to safeguard our business and push forwards with momentum for the future by ensuring Jenner is well-prepared and armed with the financial skills and acumen needed, particularly given current market volatility and challenging trading conditions, and in managing the overall growth of the Jenner brand.
With a varied career spanning almost 20 years and longstanding, trusted relations already in place with many of the Directors and senior management team having been part of the external team auditing our annual accounts for over eight years, Lee was always the perfect fit for this role and will work through a period of transition alongside existing company secretary Peter Chandler, ahead of his retirement next year.
Lee’s experience working both in Practice and client-side has undoubtedly given him a holistic approach to business management and accountancy as well as an invaluable, insightful knowledge and detailed understanding of the construction sector, further augmenting his suitability to become such an integral part of the Jenner team.
Having commenced his training with Finn Kelcey & Chapman in Ashford, who have since become Azets, it again seems incredibly fitting that Lee’s career began with the business now employed as our external auditing accountants. Subsequently moving to Spain Brothers & Co (now known as MHA) in Folkestone to continue his training he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2014.
Upon reaching the position of Audit Manager in 2019 he then moved away from Practice working client-side at The Port of Dover as a Financial Accountant. Managing and reporting on an internal project portfolio of over £300 million, with a mix of Revenue and Capital projects, his keen interest in the construction industry initiated a further move in 2021 to GSE Building and Civil Engineering Ltd as a Finance Manager, soon progressing to Financial Controller and the position he has held for the past two years.

Jenner has become Kent’s largest regional contractor but has always endorsed the values of family-run business. I am excited to join the Board of Directors and the Jenner family as a whole, continuing my career and growing with the company for many years to come”.
