“Jenner have played an integral role in the rebuild of Little Land, and we cannot thank them enough for their support throughout the entire process. From start to finish, their professionalism, reliability and attention to detail have been exceptional. The team went above and beyond at every stage, working with care, understanding and genuine pride in the project. Their hard work has helped us create a safe, welcoming and inspiring space for children and families in our community, and Little Land simply would not be where it is today without their dedication and support.”

A helping hand for Little Land!

Date: January 2026

Benefitting our local community with our continued delivery of targeted, meaningful social value, we shine the light on recent voluntary works on behalf of Little Land - a children’s role-play centre based in Ashford.

And for clarity this is certainly not soft play! It’s a beautifully designed miniature town with a supermarket, construction site, post office, vets, bakery, fire station and more. It’s a place where children step into little worlds and learn through imagination, language, social play and confidence-building experiences. It’s play with purpose and it’s incredibly powerful.

Natasha, one of Little Land’s founders, is severely sight-impaired, and she knows first-hand what it is like to navigate a world that doesn’t always fit you. Sensory environments can transform how safe, confident and included a person feels. They create a space where the world softens; where you can breathe, explore, regulate emotions and learn without feeling overwhelmed.

This past year has been one of the most difficult chapters in Little Land’s journey when they were unexpectedly evicted from Park Mall in the Ashford Town Centre, due to imminent demolition works. For Little Land it felt as though the floor had gone from beneath them. Overnight, everything they had poured their hearts, time and savings into was under threat. The thought of this ‘safe space’ that is a lifeline for so many being taken away was devastating, not only for the team, but for the hundreds of parents, grandparents and children who call it their happy place with sessions proven to combat loneliness, post-natal struggles and generally promoting overall mental wellbeing. Adults come not only for their children but for themselves and from far afield, even as far as Essex. They come to connect, to feel supported, and to be part of something that lifts them up. And the impact reaches beyond families. Schools and nurseries from Ashford and neighbouring towns visit Little Land regularly, because role play sparks learning in a way classrooms can’t always replicate supporting early language, teamwork, problem-solving and imagination.

But sometimes, from heartbreak comes hope. The move has opened the door to something even bigger - an opportunity to rebuild stronger than before and to create something truly special for the community that will now include specialist sensory facilities for SEN children too, which are life-changing for those with additional needs. They help with communication, reduce anxiety, build confidence and provide a space where every child feels understood. For many families in Ashford, nothing like this currently exists and that’s why this project matters so much.

And…this is where the team from Park Farm Construction were able to step in to assist with the overall rebuild of the new premises ready for operation with the facilities opening this month. (January 2026)
